Eircode

The Department of Education and Skills are in the process of implementing software to facilitate the capture of Eircode address information for all pupils. Accurate address information, and associated spatial analysis of pupils in relation to their school, is becoming increasingly important for resource allocation within the department. We would ask that all families pass on their Eircode

Please email Eircode to Louise in office

Red Envelope Week – Please return your Red Envelopes to school. All amounts gratefully received.

Our School Sports Day is on Thursday, 31st May. If you are available to help from 9am-1pm we would be very grateful. The day works really well with parent volunteers. Please call into Mairead in 4th class, if you can help.

Thanks to all who helped with the annual Plant & Cake Sale which took place on Friday May 4th.  From planting back in March to baking & donating to helping sell on the day, not to mention all those who purchased plants, cakes and raffle tickets.  Together we raised over €1500 for the school which will be put towards classroom activities and the upgrading of the school garden, including a tree.  We had over a dozen prizes in the raffle, won by the following children:

Hampers- Samuel (JI), Rose (4th), Nicolas (2nd), Harry (JI), Oscar & Ingrid (3rd), Aimee (JI)

Marbles voucher- Bobby (3rd)

Bowling passes- Mannix (SI), Bre (2nd)

Family swim passes for Grove Island– Seán (3rd), Ilir (2nd)

King John's Castle family pass- Seán (3rd)

Raffle prizes were generously donated by Homestore & More, Marbles, Funworld Bowling, Aura at Grove Island and King John's Castle.  Woodies DIY donated two planted window boxes.

Sylvia Hogan's selection of shrubs, herbs and fruit plants was superb as always and we are very grateful to her for her invaluable contribution to our fair each year.
