White Envelope Week

A new school year has started and you, as parents, share our vision that your child’s education is of paramount importance to us all. To enable the running of our school we are asking that you contribute what you can to our White Envelope Week (WEW). While it costs €672 per pupil to run the school, the Department of Education currently gives us only €388.

We spend this on:

  • Heating
  • Stationary/Office Supplies/Photocopying
  • Electricity
  • Refuse bills
  • Phone bills
  • Repairs to building incl., windows, doors, switches and locks
  • Computer replacement / Maintenance
  • Cleaning & kitchen materials, painting
  • Fire protection service
  • Water charges
  • Art and Craft/Classroom resources/LS/RT materials
  • Registration fees for sports leagues (Basketball) and sports entry fees
  • Buses to sporting events

While the BOM ensures that no child will lose out by covering payment for families who can’t or won’t pay, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to do so.

Any amount, any time, will be of help and we are grateful for your continued support. White Envelope Week for this term runs from Monday 13th to Friday 17th October. White Envelopes have been distributed yesterday.

Please feel free to contact our Principal Orla if you have any queries about the Voluntary contributions.

Winners will be chosen at random and prizes given out on Friday 17th.
