The school council organised a charity fundraiser for children availing of the services of Enable Ireland. Children were asked to bring in €2 and wear something festive. We think we did a great job and look very impressive!
Check out our selfie or ELFie! These are some photos on display in the foyer of the school too.
Some children from Senior Infants and 1st Class have been attending drama classes on Wednesday mornings. They work with children from other schools and have lots of fun!
Here are some photographs of our last lesson (19th November)
It has come to our attention, that some children and parents/guardians are finding to difficult to navigate through the website. If you are using a desktop or laptop computer to view the website, please ensure your browser is set to 75% Zoom. This will allow you to see all of the content of the website. For tablets and smartphones, please locate the menu button at the top right of your screen, it looks like this:
A drop-down menu should appear with the various pages of the website.
If you are having difficulty accessing the website, please let us know! We would love all pupils and their families to engage with the website so your feedback is much appreciated!
Maths week is running from 11th October to 19th October this year.
We are celebrating with a Website hunt. There are 5 maths facts hidden in various pages of the website. Pupils from Senior Infants to Sixth Class are invited to find these maths facts. Older classes have an additional challenge, there are some questions to answer. Children will be given answer sheets today, Monday 13th October.
Entries can be given to Antonia in Rang 2 by Friday 17th October. Winners will be chosen on Monday 20th October.
Below is a PowerPoint which may be of interest to you.
Also, don’t forget to check our Maths Portal for suggested maths website.
Here are some more websites which might be fun this maths week!
A big welcome to our new committee for 2014-2015. This will be the committee who will finalise our application for the Green Schools Water Flag. Many thanks to all members of previous committees who have worked so hard over the last two years in creating awareness of the need to conserve and appreciate water.
We are very proud to have a future book critic among us! Aijay in Third Class wrote a review on the book “The Milo Adventures: Milo and the Pirate Sister” for the very popular teacher’s website www.seomraranga.com.
The book is recommended for children in classes 2nd to 4th. Aijay’s review can be found here.
