We were all so excited to have our first school assembly in almost three years last Friday. We had two assemblies, a Junior and a Senior one. We had Third Class, Fourth Class, Fifth Class and Sixth Class together in the halla for a Citizenship and Energy Assembly. These get togethers are always very special. It is our school community coming together, learning together and celebrating being together. We had the halla well ventilated and classes were seated separately. Our Green School Committee helped present the assembly.
We discussed Global Citizenship, actions our school can take in relation to reducing energy consumption, we looked at data collected in all classes in Term 2 and compared it to data collected previously (see data collection post), we considered energy saving tips and watched some thought provoking slides.
Here is a brief summary of what we explored and discussed.

As always, we were all so proud of the pupils in our school. We are continually developing our sense of citizenship. Caring for and respecting each other and caring for and respecting the environment are very important values in our school.
