Over the past six weeks all classes have been out exploring biodiversity in the locality.
Junior and Senior Infants have learned about trees, seeds and signs of Autumn and visited the People’s Park.
First Class studied wildflowers in our school environment and Second Class explored mini bugs in our school garden.
Third Class went to Westfields and had great fun pond dipping. Fourth Class also went to Westfields and went on a wild flower trail. Fifth Class went there too to learn about water birds and Sixth Class went to the People’s Park to go bird watching, with the emphasis on garden birds.
It was great to get out and about in the community and to explore and appreciate all the wonderful biodiversity in our locality. Many thanks to Geoff Hunt for being an excellent guide.
