Global Goals September 2019

On Monday 23rd of September classes in Limerick School Project continued our annual exploration of the Sustainable Development Goals.

We would like to share with you some of the presentation that we worked through in school.

We really had a superb day in school.

We reviewed the SDG’s – Sustainable Development Goals
We read the story book ‘Frieda makes a Difference’ which aided our understanding of the SDG’s.
We worked in groups to write our thoughts on the questions posed.
Diarmuid, a guest speaker, came to teach us more about Waste Management.
We completed Global Citizenship surveys, we did a litter tally on all bins in the school, we completed a Nationality Survey.
We got a terrific response from parents and children when nationality surveys were completed.
Classes worked on different topics related to SDG’s and Green Schools theme ‘Global Citizenship: Litter and Waste’ and presented their investigations at a whole school assembly at the end of the week. We learned so much from the other children’s presentations.
Look at the great improvement we made in the space of one school month in relation to reusable drinks containers.
