Hands on Maths in Third

We’ve been learning all about 3-d shapes in maths.  We’ve built 3-d shapes using match sticks and blue tack.  We sorted 3-d shapes into sets, the categories that we decided upon were shapes that roll, shapes that have 12 straight edges and shapes that can’t be stacked.  We also investigated the nets of a cube using polydron pieces, there were many more solutions than we originally thought. We really enjoyed these maths classes.
