We had a wonderful celebration of Irish tradition and culture this week with Irish music, dancing and artwork to mark Ireland’s national holiday. The week culminated in a parade where all of the boys and girls Junior Infants to Second Class marched around the yard, with the senior classes cheering them on. After that we all ‘Shoed the Donkey’, had a ‘Siege of Ennis’, sang ‘Báidín Fheilimí’ and concluded with a wonderful rendition of our national anthem, ‘Amhrán na bhFiann’.
