Well done to all the children who brought in science experiments to demonstrate to the rest of the class. It was super to see such curiosity – so many interesting questions and perceptive observations!

Investigating Materials to Make Hats
We tested various materials (tin foil, paper bags, paper plates, kitchen roll, string, clothes pegs) for their properties (hardness/softness, ability to absorb water (absorbency) and stiffness/floppiness and then we carefully selected the materials we wanted when designing our hats. We had a parade around the school before our midterm break to show off our creations!
