This month in Visual Arts, Third Class have been exploring the Construction strand. The children designed and created their own jewellery using a variety of materials including beads, foil and pieces of fabric. They experimented with different joining techniques such as threading, tying and shaping, developing their creativity and fine motor skills along the way. Below is a sample of their work.
As part of the Construction strand, they have also been engaging in a project to design and build their own string instruments, exploring how different materials can be assembled to create sound.
