馃帹馃幎 Creative Construction in Third Class 馃幎馃帹
As part of the Construction strand in Visual Arts, the children in Third Class planned, designed and built their own string instruments using boxes, elastic bands and a variety of other materials.
The pupils carefully considered how to create stable structures and how to choose suitable materials to make their designs both strong and functional. They explored how different materials affected sound, linking their learning in Visual Arts with Music in a fun and practical way.
There was great excitement in the classroom as the children tested, improved and finally performed with their instruments! It was wonderful to see such creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills on display.
