Junior Infants and 6th Class enjoyed a lovely afternoon together planting Teddy Bear sunflower seeds. The children worked in pairs with their buddies, as the 6th class pupils helped the younger children carefully fill pots with soil and plant their seeds.
The Junior Infants were very excited to learn about how sunflowers grow and loved getting their hands messy while planting. The 6th class pupils showed great kindness and patience as they guided their buddies through each step of the process.
Everyone is now looking forward to caring for their sunflowers over the coming weeks and watching them begin to grow. It was a wonderful opportunity for both classes to work together, build friendships and enjoy learning outdoors.
