It has been birthday central in Senior Infants these past two weeks! During Aistear, the children have been busy throwing pretend parties, making and wrapping presents, writing gift tags, and even creating tasty party treats from playdough. They’ve also enjoyed reading some fantastic birthday picture books and, along the way, picked up lots of “book language” – words like paperback, hardback, author, illustrator, cover page, title page, and publisher. To top it all off, we even celebrated some real birthdays in the class – a big Happy Birthday to Anthony S and Suma! 🎉
