Our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams recently took to the court against St. Mary’s School last week. It was especially significant as this was St. Mary’s very first time participating in the league.
Both of our teams performed exceptionally well, showing great skill, teamwork and determination throughout their games. However, what stood out most was not just the basketball on display, but the character shown by our players. They demonstrated incredible patience, understanding and respect, particularly when the opposition found moments of the game challenging. Their calm and supportive attitude did not go unnoticed and they were a real credit to Limerick School Project.
It was also a beautiful day, which added to the positive atmosphere, with sunshine, smiles and great sportsmanship all around. Days like these remind us that sport is about so much more than winning — it’s about inclusion, encouragement and representing our school values with pride.
