Fifth Class Explore Nature at Westfields
Robin’s Fifth Class spent a wonderful morning at Westfields today, learning all about local wildlife and habitats with Geoff Hunt. The children enjoyed birdwatching, spotting a variety of species and discovering how birds live, feed, and interact with their environment.
They also explored the plants and ecosystems that make Westfields such an important place for biodiversity. Experiences like this help our pupils understand how all living things are connected and why it’s so important to care for our natural world.
As global citizens, the children are learning that protecting nature starts locally — by appreciating and respecting the environment around them. Everyone returned to school full of excitement, curiosity, and a renewed sense of responsibility for the planet we share.
