First Class- Values Based lesson on Honesty

First Class- Values Based lesson on Honesty

First Class began our Values lessons this week with our new focus on honesty. We read the classic story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf and had a wonderful discussion about how the boy could make it up to the villagers and seek their forgiveness.

Amira suggested giving a sincere apology with good eye contact, while Christopher and Aidan thought he should promise that it will never happen again. Mawada and Seán came up with a very creative idea-the boy could install CCTV on the farm so the villagers could see for themselves if he was telling the truth the next time he shouted “Wolf!”

After our discussion, we explored a range of different scenarios to decide whether they showed honesty or dishonesty. The class worked brilliantly together, sharing thoughtful ideas and showing great understanding of why honesty is such an important value in our everyday lives.
