Recently in First Class during our oral language lesson, we continued learning about positional words. We talked about words like on, under, beside, behind, in front of, above, below, left, and right. We practiced saying them and using them to describe where things are.
Then we used our six bricks. We had to listen very carefully to the teacher’s instructions and follow them step by step, like “put the red brick on top” or “place the blue brick to the left.” We built our brick towers without looking at each other’s work. When we took down the barriers, we checked to see if they all looked the same!
We also did fun STEM challenges using the six bricks. We worked together in groups, shared our ideas, and helped each other. We were very good at taking turns and sharing. We really enjoyed working with the six bricks this week!
